What are the steps for service?

Use the ‘Schedule Care’ icon to the top right of your screen and fill out the blank form. An administrative staff (or the provider) will contact you to gather brief intake information, and schedule the initial appointment. You will then receive electronic consent forms, intake questionnaires, and tele-health setup instructions. 

What should I do in case of a mental health emergency?

Clarity Horizons does not provide emergency services.
If you are in crisis, please call 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline), go to the nearest emergency department, or contact local emergency services.

What Is Psychiatric Telehealth?

Psychiatric telehealth is the delivery of psychiatric care through secure online technology rather than in-person visits. It allows individuals to meet with mental health professionals from the comfort and privacy of their own homes.

What services does Clarity Horizons provide?

We offer comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, evidence-based medication management, diagnostic clarification, and collaborative care with therapists and primary care providers. Through tele-psychiatry appointments, available for convenience and accessibility.

What should I expect at my first appointment?

The initial evaluation lasts about 60–90 minutes and includes a detailed review of your medical and psychiatric history, symptoms, and treatment goals. Together, we’ll develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. We accept select insurance plans and offer self-pay options for those without coverage. See our 'Insurance & Fees' page.

How often will I need follow-up appointments?

Follow-up frequency depends on your treatment plan, but most patients are seen every 4–8 weeks once stable. Your provider will work with you to determine the right schedule.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule an appointment?

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment to avoid a late-cancellation fee.

How do you ensure patient privacy?

We follow all HIPAA guidelines and use encrypted, secure platforms for communication, telehealth, and recordkeeping. Your privacy and confidentiality are our top priorities.

Which medications are prescribed virtually?

Most mental health medications in accordance with state and federal DEA regulations determined after a comprehensive evaluation, which includes diagnostic criteria, medical history, and other individual factors to ensure treatment is safe, effective, and clinically appropriate. Note that controlled substances such as stimulants and certain anti-anxiety medications require careful monitoring because of their potential for dependence, misuse, and side effects. These medications are prescribed only when medically necessary and may require additional follow-up or coordination with in-person providers. Benzodiazepines for ongoing or long-term maintenance treatment are not prescribed.
